What counts as a monthly active user?
Any user or agent that makes at least one authenticated request in a calendar month. Inactive identities don't count.
Can I self-host instead?
Yes. The kavachos npm package is MIT licensed and works with SQLite, Postgres, or MySQL. Cloud adds managed infrastructure, dashboard, and compliance features.
What happens if I exceed my MAU limit?
We'll notify you at 80% usage. If you go over, we'll keep your service running and reach out about upgrading. No surprise shutoffs.
